Just nailed Sunshine of Your Love by Cream. Working on the solo to The Ocean and Mary Had a Little Lamb.

On the Halen front - Dance the Night Away.

What have you learned this week.

Worked out To Live Is To Die by metallica, including the solos. Pretty damn cool song. Justice is such an under rated album, its amazing.

Uh... LOL... I just worked out:

"Major Tom(Coming Home)"
By Peter Schilling

Not hard... Just fun to play and sing aloud to crack people up. Good at parties!

i find a good party song is strumming 'stacy's mom' really hard and singing it rock and roll style, but replacing 'stacys' with someone elses name. Its one of the school music room faves.

I once worked out a version of "B-I-N-G-O" (You know, "was his name-o") at a party.

Sitting in a chair I noticed the guys guitar in the corner. I asked if I could strum it. He said yes. So, as the party went on, I sat in the chair goofing around.

I happened upon it by goofing around with a C chord. Soon I had a pretty good version and showed my friend's drunk girlfriend. Needless to say, she had the whole party singing the song as I played along.

Drunk people singing "B-I-N-G-O"... I had nightmares!

Last cover song I learned was.... Rope Ends by Pain of Salvation. Nice one, soloing over 15/16 is nice once you feel the groove.

Regarding party music... I don't play guitar to entertain friends at parties, that's what cd's are for lol. Specially since I eventually bored myself stupid, everytime. Smile
