i've been lurking this site since quite some time and decided to finally register to the forums.
quite some years ago, i've been lucky enough to snag a 1996 Peavey Wolfgang with a beautiful quilt top and Floyd Rose. t has been in the store for a bit more than a year back then, so i'm the first owner of this guitar.
it used to be my main guitar for quite some years. eventually, i got a PRS some years ago, which quickly became my new favorite player because of the slightly wider neck. besides 2 guitars, all my electrics are now PRSi.
i've held on to my Wolfgang because of sentimental reasons, but i have to confess that i never really played it in the last few years - which is a pity for such a great guitar IMO. so i finally decided to let go of it... it still hurts a bit, but this one isn't supposed to spend it's life in a case.
my question's now: what price can i expect to get for a used and gigged 1996 Wolfgang with a quilted top?
t has very few minor impressions on the top (mainly from trem use) which don't go through the clear coat and probably could be buffed out. it has some dings and a bit of buckle rash on the black back, but as far as i can see, nothing's going through the clear coat.
the top is gorgeous IMO - and i'm used to quite some quilted tops as a PRS player. and the birdseye maple neck and fretboard is probably the nicest one i've seen yet.
here are some pics of this beauty:
