I purchesed a Boss Gt-6 guitar effects processor tonight and was trying it out when the amp quit/shut down. It powers up but I cant get the standby light to work so the amp with not project sound. I check the fuse and its fine I also replaced it and still no luck. I pluged the effects output into the back of the 5150's effects return. did I do somethong wrong? This has happed a few times when I plug pedals into the amp. it shuts down but then cools down and affter a while it works, but allways dies with effects pluged into it. What could be happening? Any thoughts? Where did you guys plug your effects pedels into on the amp and have you ever had issuse like what I'am experencing?
Thanks for any advice and help. |

Have you tried replacing your preamp tube that works the effects? Does it work when the efffects are not plugged in?
Try switching around your pre-amp tubes and see if the problem follows your tube. |
